Identity is who you are. As Christians, we believe that our identity comes from God the Creator who saw us before we were born. God doesn’t make mistakes and delights in who we are. The problem is that the world and our enemy tells us lies. Instead of listening to the lies, let’s discover our God given identity. 

The one who makes a thing is the one who gets to name a thing. God created you and gets to tell you who you are. Through God’s word and your community, you can discover the incredible identity that God has given you.

Life will challenge our identity. We can feel threatened when things or people don’t go our way. We need to practice and rehearse our identity before we get into tough places. As we remember what God says and filter out the rest, we will experience the freedom of knowing who we are in Christ. 

The more you walk in your identity the stronger you will get. David and Esther are two examples of people who boldly unleashed their identity. God used them and he can use us in amazing ways. We are called to encourage and protect others as we unleash who we are.
