Jesus wants to be Lord of every area of our lives. Many times we only let Jesus into our church part of our lives, but Jesus want to be Lord over all of us.

Relationships are a big deal to God. He created us to have relationships with him and others. Our first call is to have a relationship with God. Our second call is to love other people. Because we are accepted in Christ, we can accept other people.

We often hear that we’re supposed to speak the truth in love, but this tends to be something we refrain from practicing. Why? Because it’s awkward. Confrontation is inconvenient. Yet we need these hard conversations to identify blind spots and move toward growth. For this teaching, Rita uses her own experience to build a case for honest, courageous leadership.

We are consumed by a desire for things. It may be the latest fashion, gadget or device, but things won’t ever be enough. Jesus is not just Lord over my heart. He also is Lord over my stuff. I need to use my things to share and give. Only once Jesus is Lord over this area will I truly know what it means to be content.
